Silk Handicraft is a craft entirely unique to Cyprus culture and was brought to Cyprus by the Ottomans in the 16^th Century. The craft using silk cocoons woven by the little Silk bugs has been kept alive to this day constantly renewing itself with the types of motives being used in the art.

As for me, starting with this beautiful art was a coincidence. I found myself on an exhibition of silk arts and fell in love with the art years ago. Since then I gave myself to learning the art and developing my own designs by creating different themes using materials unique to Cypriot Culture (saddle, lefkara, leather, stones, amphora, and various pictures).

My aim is to make this unique art better known in the world. I would be pleased if my small contribution helps to promote our Cyprus Silk crafts.
